New quiet in 2026

I was thinking the other day that when we hit New Year’s Day 2026 at 1201, there were no fireworks; it was dead quiet. 2025, just after midnight, there were the requisite big bangs and fireworks. This got me thinking, and I did have a thought about that.

I know we are living in a good country, and we have good times and bad, with a sound constitution. We can go to college, go to high school, have a technical background, or have a college background. We may be the person we want to be. You know, we can have integrity or not have it. We can be rich, be poor, or be in between, and many people are in between. That’s all, right. We can be what we want to be. Because this country. It was founded on human rights. The right to vote, the right to elect anybody we want to elect. By the people for the people; this country was built on the principles of unity.

We have a good economy. This is my first dictation. Right off the top of my head. Scary!
